A full price list detailing services and individual charges can be found here.
If you book a solo walk then your dog will have my full attention for the entire duration of your booking. Group dog walks are for a maximum of 3 dogs.
Absolutely! The introductory meet and greet is without charge and is an opportunity for you to meet me, and for me to meet your dog. This will allow me opportunity to understand your dog's needs, and for you to get an idea of how the whole process will work.
When you book we will agree on a time for the walk to take place. Although I will endeavour to stick to this time, the nature of dog walking means that no day is the same, which can lead to your dog being collected earlier or later than our specified time.
Yes. Happy Paws and Waggy Tails is fully insured. Feel free to ask to view a copy of my insurance certificate.
No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys which enable Happy Paws and Waggy Tails to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home.
I generally work between 8am and 5pm, however I can walk your dog or visit your pet at any time by prior arrangement.
If you need to cancel then please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. This will ensure there are no charges to be paid.
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will call to notify you. I collect contact details during our initial consultation. Should veterinary treatment be required, I will take your pet to your nominated practice. These details will also be collected during our initial consultation.
I can still walk your dog. This will be discussed during our initial consultation. I do reserve the right to refuse to walk a dog if I feel it is not in the best interests of the dog or Happy Paws and Waggy Tails.
Your key will be kept secure at all times. No key can be linked to a specific property address. Personal information will never be shared.
Dogs will be in individual crates if they travel in my vehicle. Should you not wish for your dog to be transported, then I will walk from your home address.
I can walk in your local area from your address to maximise the time spent walking with your dog/s. I will also visit local green areas such as Plock Court, Longford parks, Robinswood Country Park, Crickley Hill, and more.
Yes! Weekends are charged at my standard fee. Bank holidays may incur an additional charge.
If I found an imbalance in a particular group of dogs then I will make arrangements to ensure that all dogs are catered for and are comfortable at all times.
Of course. If I have availability then I will walk your dog.
Yes, but you would be required to book a solo dog walk.
In bad weather I get wet! I will clean and dry your dogs upon returning to your property as much as possible. I carry towels, but would always appreciate it if your own towels could be left out for use.
A puppy is likely to need to go out in the garden every 2-3 hours. I can visit your home multiple times during a day. This would be classed as a dog home visit, and prices can be found here. Your puppy would get plenty of fuss and cuddles during this visit as well as anything else that may be reasonably required (for example, puppies should be fed small amounts multiple times during each day). Of course any accidents would be cleaned up.
Yes. I have taken courses that detail pet medication, but more importantly my own pets have required medication that I have administered daily. This has included daily insulin injections as well as the administration of epilepsy medication.
This is entirely up to you. If your dog doesn't have strong recall then I can use a long lead. I would only let a dog off lead in appropriate locations, and only once I have your written consent. For local road based walks then no dog would be off lead.
I cover Longford, Longlevens, Innsworth, Churchdown, Kingsholm, Elmbridge, and other local areas. Please contact me if you are in any doubt.
Yes, I have a Disclosure and Barring Service certificate that is up to date and can be provided for you to view.
